
Our History

Up until 1929, Brookside was a Gristmill. Powered by the current of Mason Creek, A water wheel ground grain into flour and cornmeal.

In 1929, the property was sold to Ken Hall and he made it into a fish camp and named it Hall’s Landing. He began bringing small cottages on a trailer to the property.

In 1932, Mason Creek was damned and 2 hydroelectric generators were installed to supply electricity for all the cottages.



In 1940, Hall's Landing was sold to 2 partners who changed the name to Brookside Cottages.
